Our client was attacked by Ransomware and Cakes Technology was brought in to retrieve locked data.
A plan was built and we were able to retrieve all of their data without paying any ransom to the attackers. The attack got in through phishing emails that should have been targeted as spam. After we retrieved all the data, we provided a more permanent solution that touched on 8 important security points. Part of which was strengthening spam filter settings to prevent further phishing emails from getting through.
Results:
This was the start of a strong relationship between our client and Cakes Technology. We now help them with many parts of their IT including merger acquisitions as they procure more companies. We also provide them with ongoing Security Services and IT Support.
